THE VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT HAS ANNOUNCED AN INQUIRY INTO SEX ABUSE WITHIN INSTITUTIONS RUN BY CHURCHES AND CHARITIES

CLAN congratulates the Baillieu Government for showing this initiative and announcing this inquiry. CLAN also extends its thanks to the Victorian Attorney-General, Robert Clark and his staff who have listened to our request for this long overdue inquiry.

However CLAN and its members are very disappointed about the discrimination of Victorian Care Leavers as people who were raised in State Government orphanages, children's Homes and other institutions have been excluded from the inquiry. 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO END THE DISCRIMINATION OF CARE LEAVERS IN VICTORIA?

The Inquiry needs to include abuse suffered in orphanages, children's Homes and other institutions run by Churches, Charities AND the State Government!!!

Protests in Victoria

Sadly children who were placed in Victorian state-run orphanages, children’s Homes, foster care and other institutions have been excluded and we are protesting that this inquiry can include the Victorian State Government.

 Thank you to the Victorian public for giving CLAN members lots of encouragement.

Where: Outside the office of Attorney General Robert Clark at 121 Exhibition St, Melbourne.
